Istanbul Street Art – Part 5

These street art images were taken in Kadikoy, on Istanbul’s Asian shore. The twenty minute ferry ride from Karakoy to Kadikoy across the Sea of Marmara is a joy in itself. It allows you to escape the crowded streets for a more broader view of the Istanbul skyline. Gently rocked by the waves of the sea. men walk around on the ferry selling hot tea while musicians play and sing. I love when they play traditional Turkish songs. For the most part, until it is time to disembark, I am lost in thought as I watch the waves and seagulls dart and swoop along the side of the ferry, trying to catch a piece of simit thrown to them by the passengers onboard.

Always with love,

Martina
